Powell,
who is described as a genius in his field by clients
and peers, started in computing when he was eleven.
He joined ECC soon after its launch in 1989 to drive
its technical strategy.
A
challenge was to transition a few multi-talented individuals
to a larger team of more vertically skilled individuals.
ECC
specialises in building knowledge-management solutions
for clients including Intelligent Finance, Bodycote
Materials Testing and Dawn Group Construction.
A
keen motorsport fan, his all-time sporting heroes are
the late Ayrton Senna and Joey Dunlop.
